Using paper-based packaging more responsibly

Our approach is practical and evidence-led: paper-based structures where they are technically suitable, efficient material use, and less avoidable waste in production.

Our approach

Better packaging starts with better choices

For us, responsible packaging is an ongoing process. We use paper-based structures wherever technically suitable, optimise material consumption and keep looking for ways to reduce, reuse or repurpose manufacturing waste.

We also work to improve efficiency across our manufacturing, so materials are used with greater care. As packaging needs evolve, we keep finding practical ways to balance performance, functionality and more responsible material choices.

Composite packs can contain several material layers. We only call a pack recyclable when the full approved construction and a local recycling route support it. Ask about your build.

What we commit to

  1. 01

    Optimise material use

Use the material each pack needs to perform, and no more.

  2. 02

    Reduce avoidable waste

Improve efficiency across our manufacturing so less material is lost in production.

  3. 03

    Reuse and repurpose

Reuse or repurpose suitable production materials where practical.

  4. 04

    Paper-based where it works

Work with customers on paper-based alternatives where they are technically appropriate.

  5. 05

    Evidence before claims

Support future certification and sustainability claims with verifiable evidence.
